Pain Urinating Smoking

Sun, Seven, and even pizza again

Seven Easy, Piazza G. Motta 61, Ascona, 091 780 77 71
open every day, it's already going on in the morning at 9 clock with a wonderful breakfast

in Ticino spring has begun: the first camellia blossom types, you see even been one or the other magnolias bloom in sheltered spots, only my beloved mimosa need a few more days just like the forsythia.

We at noon today with Melanie and Andrew in Seven Easy had a date, had sunshine, sparkling wine - and pure - and our favorite table - mmmh, our's is sooo good!

The appetizer was gender-specific ordered: Crema di cipolle e aglio con Crostini al fegatino Tues volatile - onion-garlic cream soup with chicken liver crostini for men

Thus came the but not out of the kitchen - it is now known that Gerhard Peffer is a fan, and usually it's faster with the pepper mill when I was with the camera ;-)

And for the ladies Robiolino caldo con verdure alla Griglia e olive Taggiasche, Robiolinokäse warm with grilled vegetables and olives Taggiasca:

then had Gerhard and Melanie tagliolini alla chitarra al ragù di manzo e verdure, homemade tagliolini with ragout of beef and vegetables - photo, there is none, I was too busy with my pizza and wants to be eaten hot: Pizza Scoglio with clams, mussels, octopus, shrimp, prawns, tomatoes, garlic and chilli:

Andrea's Pizza did not look too bad: Pizza Carpaccio with beef carpaccio, arugula, parmesan shavings, truffle oil, tomatoes and mozzarella

is heroic, those who get after that one dessert:

Voilà, Ciocolatto - a warm chocolate cake with a melt-core

For Gerhard there was - how could it be otherwise - a homemade chocolate ice cream, which then receives on its very own chocolate-scale of 1 to 10, the Grade 7

For me, it was also the standard Dessert: Espresso corretto grappa - without photo ;-)

Ticino Kitchen: Torta di Pane or the bread of the poor

Torta di Pane - no more crumbs

Originally from Cucina dei poveri, the kitchen of the poor, to arise, it is probably of the cake as many recipes as there are grottos. Each household Ticino, each Grotto has its own recipe for this wonderful leftovers - no more crumbs - Most will dieTorta di Pane served as a dessert. Well packaged, they keep in the refrigerator for at least a week and already tastes best the second day.
My recipe is in the guidelines from the book I greatly respect "To eat the Ticino," from which I have already nachgekocht some recipes.

Ingredients: 300g
stale bread, cubed (for me it was Pane Valle Maggia)
1 liter milk 1 vanilla pod

1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 / 2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, a pinch of ordinary ground Clove and 1 / 2 teaspoon black pepper, finely ground
2 eggs
10 macaroons, crumbled
grated rind of half a lemon
1 pinch salt
100 g raw sugar
30g best cocoa powder
30 g good dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces
50 g candied orange peel, 50 g candied lemon peel (if you like)
100 g of ground or chopped almonds
one gulp Ticino Grappa
50 g pine nuts
some butter and flour to form

This from the vanilla bean caused Mark and the vanilla bean in the Add the milk and heat, pour over the bread and let it sit overnight. The next day, remove the vanilla pod and knead (this goes best with the Hands). Should not be too much milk left over, drain before. Add all ingredients except the pine nuts and mix well. In a buttered, type of flour ausgestäubte form (I use a rectangular baking dish), sprinkle with the pine nuts and at about 180 degrees about 1 hour bake (Stäbchenprobe!)

Note: We do not like it that way sweet - 200 g sugar indicated - 150 are in the original recipe. Slightly sweet, it is certainly necessary, by the selection of bread

Katie's wish is my command: Revisited: Grotto al Ritrovo

Grotto Al Ritrovo, Val Resa, Brione sopra Minusio,

Tel 091 743 55 95, reservation, closed Wednesday, from May 14 November Open daily

Katie's wish is my command ;-)
In a comment on my last report on this wonderful Grotto wrote Katia from Bolli's Kitchen (click here) I should soon go to Ticino and time again make beautiful photos. Okay, the Ticino-trip, I got out the beautiful photos with the not quite .... But because the weather was to blame nuuur - definitely!

We went last night with Melanie and Andrew in this high altitude over Brione Grotto. The drive is a bit of getting used to - so please no alcohol escapades, at least one should stay for the return trip to drive.

To take a picture it was too dark, but I will not deny you a few photos anyway.

We sat in the comfortable first space in front of the wonderfully warm fireplace and our friends were already smitten with the incomes of the cozy ambience and of course of Gabriela's and Christophe's warm reception.

As always, Gabrielle turned the big sign with the ever-changing delights of Christophe's kitchen in front of us. There was already the first green asparagus from Italy - either as asparagus cream soup for the Gerhard decided and asparagus with various salads and Gamberoni. Otherwise we would have had even a choice between a chicken salad with curry and (of course home made) taglierini aglio, olio, with peperoncini Gamberoni.

was the main course it Melanie boned leg of rabbit with truffle filling and do something about sooo good potatoes:
They look but have your teeth into good, right? (Incidentally, the only usable photo, which you recognize something). For the gentlemen there were Saltimbocca di Manzo Thinly sliced and peppery in a cream sauce. And for me the highlight, I must always eat when it is on the map: Trecce Piacentino, hand-braided ponytail pasta with ricotta and spinach, plus a little tomato sauce, it is either as pre-(four braids) or as a main course (eight braids). He who will know exactly what you have to imagine such a look, but please be times when Robert of Lamiacucina (click here) to . He can even take pictures ;-) And I try it again next time.

Stocking Stuffer Idea For Men

Kurz & Knackig: Doku-Querverweise

Much of the documentary is seen by me are usually discussed on Moviemaze . As the lyrics here but I can not set in its entirety and the readers of this blog is probably rarely lost on Moviemaze saying, is "SHORT & SWEET" this time to be a few teasers of these films. The detailed discussions are linked:

Countdown to Zero

Nena sang 27 years ago in their hit "99 Luftballons" by "Minister of War" and "flying squadrons" and thus from the then existing Cold War. In her informative documentation Countdown Zero to recapitulates Lucy Walker managed the nuclear arms race in changing times, today, preferably made from Russia, uranium-smuggling and could face the consequences of humanity. gas land

Unlike oil, the U.S. is winning their gas more often from their own ground. Why in this case, no foreign, but its own population suffers. As riveting documentary fails gas land, as the film less as a story because dossier is constructed. A serious issue which recapitulated by director Josh Fox will without providing new information or to entertain throughout. [more]

Gates of Heaven

For Roger Ebert is one of the ten best films of all time and other critics showed themselves enraptured by Errol Morris' debut film Gates of Heaven . This documentation is less than avant-garde film, since neither Morris follows an idea or theory, nor is there an information transfer. The interesting topic of animal cemeteries, their owners and customers will ultimately be driven to the wall. [more]

Prodigal Sons

Some stories are so absurd that they can not actually be true. And if they really are then it is a more difficult keep them as authentic. Kimberly Reed is now offering Prodigal Sons a crazy documentary that was widely celebrated and filmed at the expense of her now deceased brother. What the whole project all the more tragic and low quality power. [more]

Restrepo

In its documentation Restrepo Tim Hetherington and Sebastian Junger soldiers do in war experiences show, however, detached from its geopolitical context. But they have been praised, particularly in the U.S., which is understandable when one looks at the film. An extremely one-sided, journalistically useless series of propaganda images that failed to ask important and crucial issues. [more]

Sweet Grass

In its visual-anthropological documentation Sweet Grass presents Lucien Castaing-Taylor a late-romantic endeavor: one of the last sheep treks in Montana. The results become the pure, almost meditative pictures testimony without reflection or information content. Instead, Sweet Grass observed more than explanatory nature, if sheep are being mistreated and cowboys cry. [more]

The Thin Blue Line

For most U.S. critics had Errol Morris' documentary "The Thin Blue Line of the best films of 1988. Because of his fictionalizing character of the Oscar jury in the following year the right way gone unnoticed, Morris' film is a slight improvement is to his earlier works, must be from a journalistic perspective, but also considered as a failure.
